About Marsden Gore tree
Please sign in to see more. The site is very much 'work in progress'. There are errors and omissions waiting to be corrected, but these will be dealt with as soon as time allows. The aim is to make the site as comprehensive as possible.
Please, please, don't use my family tree information without being absolutely sure that you have the right information to link your tree to mine. Many trees on sites such as Ancestry and Genes Reunited incorporate information gleaned from other people's sites with no justification, and with no evidence of having checked the original records. I'm happy to share information but not to have it added erroneously to other trees as this makes it misleading and frustrating for everyone. I will never use other people's findings without their express permission and would appreciate it if others would reciprocate.
In view of the impact of mining, directly or indirectly, on the lives of many who feature on these pages, the following is intended as some sort of tribute.

I am particularly interested in the Gore, Marsden, Smetham and Walls lines and hope to provide a link to a website that will look at the life and times of earlier generations of these families and the impact of social and technological developments. In connection with the Marsdens, please refer to the David Marsden of Horwich tree for more information on the possible parents of Betty Marsden of Anderton.
The search continues. Suggestions very welcome. |
